Slam Brutal Death Metal Band From Brazil

Visceral Leishmaniasis foi criada depois de um show do Dying Fetus no Rio, Luana e Matthew se encontram e decidem montar uma banda. A V.L. lança um cd promo ,faz shows e volta no estúdio para gravar o Full álbum "Inbreeding Leishmaniasis" que não chega ser finalizado. 

A banda entra em hiato em 2019 com a saída de Luana. Em 2020, na agonia da quarentena provocada pelo Corona Vírus, a banda retorna com Matthew Musick na guitarra, Chriscia "Ira" Costa nos vocais e traz Mario Humberto (Flórida-EUA) dando suporte na bateria. A banda passa por atualizações, muda seu logo e inicia o processo de continuidade de composições e trabalhos sempre focado no Brutal Death Metal.

Slam Brutal Death Metal band from Brazil. 

The idea of starting a slam brutal death metal band. Came to be when Matthew Musick (guitars) moves from Florida (U.S.A) to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) bringing with him. Musical references and influences from FL and NY metalScenes. He meets Luanna Nascimento( past singer and front woman)at a Dying Fetus concert And found out they both had an extreme metal music affinity, specially brutal Death metal, That same day it was decided to make the band Visceral Leishmaniasis A reality.

The band went through several line up changes but always keeping Matthew and Luanna As key members, during those changes the band had the opportunity to work with Indio Larock On bass and Darlan Oliveira on drums having its most solid line up back then.

 

Visceral Leishmaniasis enters the studio for the first time and record several tracks but only two of them were chosen to be part of a promo cd those songs being “ Corporal Punishment” and “Perverse Gory Intentions”. There were many live shows after that. The band starts working on their first full length called “Inbreeding Leishmaniasis” all efforts coming to a halt ending with an unfinished album. 

Visceral Leishmaniasis goes officially on hiatus after Luanna's departure from the band in 2019. 

 In 2020 amidst the Coronavirus outbreak and quarantine the band comes back with a new line up ,This time we have Chriscia “ira” Costa as Frontwoman and singer, Matthew Musick on guitars and Mario “blasto” Humberto on drums. The band goes thru some updates ,changes its logo and starts working onbrand new songs ,always focusing on a brutal death metal approach.
